Visit
This week for the Wednesday group, we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to visit the Mobile Surgery Bus, which was having an open day. The bus was just up the road from our centre and luckily one of the parents who works at the hospital, alerted us to the opportunity. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their visit and were fascinated with the all the equipment on board. I think many were impressed by the amount of gears it takes to drive the bus both forward and in reverse.
The people running the bus were fantastic and spent a great deal of time talking to the kids. They all had their heartbeats monitored and watched in awe as a monitor showed the inside of a person's bowel area. An amazing opportunity that arose that morning.
Thanks very much to Aleida for giving us the opportunity.
Here are photos of that visit:

Chess
I am looking for someone to come and teach our children the game of chess. Please let me know if you know of anyone who has a couple of hours spare a week!
